Story
Alex's story is beyond incredible. His battle began with a knee injury in a cricket game, devastatingly they discovered cancer. Throughout his battle Alex kept his mind occupied and days surrounded by his closest friends.
He studied his A-levels from his bed and smashed out AAAA. Amazingly Alex was given the all clear and we all exuberantly celebrated his 18, but just before he was off to study languages at Cambridge the crushing news came.
Unfortunately we lost Alex in March 2010. Throughout he always somehow remained brave, calm and reassuring to us...even though we felt that was our part to play.
Raising money in Alex's name to a Charity he valued is a contribution I carry immense pride with. I hope to train with half the sheer determination and modesty that Alex demonstrated throughout his life.
I personally treasure the hours of instant messaging, the port and cheese nights and each Orange Wednesday with Alex (Despite the mockery of my driving) and hold these close to my heart.
Please help me raise money for this amazing charity so they can continue to advance in their specialist research.
Its a charity Alex felt strongly about and who Alex's family have asked I raise money for in his memory.
