In memory of Brian Chalmers

Story

Brian John Chalmers ('the Prof') died on 16th November 2013 after a short but difficult battle with a rare cancer called metastatic paraganglioma. Nobody who knew Brian would be surprised to know that he faced his illness with great courage and extraordinary stoicism. In the days after his death, Kate, Joanne, Tim, Anthony and Dan agreed that they would like to raise some money in memory of Brian that might lead in some way to better treatments for patients with cancer.

So instead of sending flowers for his funeral we would be delighted if you would like to make a contribution to this tribute. The money will form the inaugural donation for a new cancer charity that is being established in Glasgow early next year. Brian's son Anthony is a cancer researcher and has been very involved in establishing the new charity, so the family are delighted to have this opportunity.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with Anthony if you would like any more information about the charity and the work it will be doing.
