My wife Louisa was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), a slowly-progressing form of blood cancer,  in February this year.

This was a shock and left us bewildered, knowing nothing about it.

We eventually came across the CLL Support Association which provided us with a wealth of invaluable information, reassurance and enabled us to meet others with CLL who told us their own stories and experience of living with and managing the condition.

This is a marvellous charity that demystifies all the jargon and acronyms and provides direct access to experts in the field along with the latest research. It enables peple with CLL to ask the right questions when with their consultants and doctors, essential to ensuring they get the most appropriate treatment.

My friend Tony has kindly offered to be sponsored for CLLSA when he runs the Brighton 10K on 18 November 2018.
