Story
We are a group of Dental Students, plus friends and family, who are all running the Bristol 10k on 31st May to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. We hope to finish with some personal best times and have already begun our training!
The team line up: Rachel, William, Robyn, Rosie, Emily, Trystan, Jessica, Jake, Kayleigh, Laura, Kiran & Roshni with more to follow!
Ronald McDonald House Charities offer free accommodation to families who's children are in hospital for a variety of reasons. In December my Godson tragically passed away, aged just 13 months, after being in a traffic accident. He was air lifted to hospital where he received emergency treatment in an effort to save his life. In this awful time RMHC offered a place to stay for Freddie's family. This meant they could be close by in a comfortable environment and got the chance to say their last goodbyes without the worry of long distance travel or hotels. RMHC unites families together in times of crisis meaning the child in hospital can be surrounded by their loved ones when they need them the most.
Freddie's mummy Charlotte has shared her experience with RMHC: "Ronald McDonald house offered us a home from home at the worst time of our lives, it helped my family and I feel closer to Freddie even if we couldn't quite be at his bedside. I feel this charity is seriously undersold and the phenomenal work they do should be applauded. Please help support this cause so that other parents can be there for their babies, just like I was for mine!"We would be hugely grateful for any donations to such a worthy charity.
