Story

As it is a significant year for the Trust, it is time that we try and do a significant challenge!

An impulsive decision was made a couple of months ago to sign up for this event. This was a short time after booking an all inclusive holiday for two weeks and a music festival days after returning- ideal preparation and very well planned...

We are looking to not only push ourselves with such a physically demanding challenge but also to raise as much money to mark 10 years of 'The Katie McKerracher Trust'. A special charity which is close to both of our hearts.

As many of you are aware, Katie sadly passed away from a Diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) and the charity was set up to help others who sadly suffer from the illness, and their loved ones.

The Trust has been fortunate enough to have gain a lot of support over the 10 years and subsequently has helped make a significant difference in the lives of others with DIPG. Some examples include:

- Mobility assistance

- Family holidays

- Financial support

- Advice and information

By supporting our event, we hope to raise as much money as we can so that The Katie McKerracher Trust can continue to offer these incredible services and support for those suffering from DIPG. If you are able to support us with this financially or even just morale support, it would be greatly appreciated!

I am sure Katie's positive mindset and spirit will ensure we both cross the line and conquer the Loch Ness Marathon!

Many thanks,

Bruce and Sarah
