On October 20th, 2017 my wife Sarah and I had just landed in Portland, Oregon when my Mother called us from Sudbury, Ontario.  My father had suffered from a brain aneurysm.  We had to come home immediately if we wanted to say goodbye.  That wasn't going to happen.  We were too far away.  It stung.

I decided to put together this stream as a way of saying goodbye, and I wanted it to have some meaning.  So, why not getting some good people together to raise money for a good cause!?!

I choose the HRI because all of the money they receive goes into research and prevention of heart disease. Although he did suffer from a brain aneurysm, it was the side effect of his heart condition that was the cause.  Through the work of people like those at the HRI, my father was given an extra 20 years that he probably would not have had otherwise.  Heart disease is still the number one killer of both men and woman in North America.
