Story
With it being the five year anniversary of my old man passing away I felt like I'd like to fundraise for something.
Tennis is something we both had in common, both in a coaching sense (or so he liked to think) and as fans.
Personally, I feel lucky to work in a job that I love. This was only possible with the support of my family, opportunities provided by working with Tennis Scotland and engaging in the sport from a young age. With that said, I'd love to support those who may also be considering a career in sport, and that starts off by getting people playing tennis. The Judy Murray Foundation seems like the perfect choice.
"The mission of The Judy Murray Foundation (JMF) is simple. We seek to bring tennis into disadvantaged and rural areas in Scotland, enabling all generations to enjoy the benefits of active participation in a sport now so closely associated with Scotland.JMF’s driving force is its passion. Its aim is not to produce the best player in the world but to encourage the best from everyone that comes to a session whether they be a mum or dad, an aspiring coach or child who wants to try tennis – having fun while making a serious difference."
"Everyone for tennis, everywhere for tennis" 🎾
Aiming for that elusive Sub-40, Queens Park dependant!
