Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

Heartfelt sympathy and prayers to Paul's wife Marie, daughters Samantha, Charlotte and Catherine and son Christopher, their partners and the grand children.

Paul was a devoted father and grandfather. He was a dear friend and colleague who will be sadly missed by all. Taken too soon.

His career at sea started in 1974-78 with British & Commonwealth Shipping Company, then with RFA until 2012, thereafter he joined LOC.

In 1995 he was awarded the Commodores Commendation for leading the rescue of a Chilean fishing vessel and in 2005 was awarded the MBE for humanitarian relief operations off the east coast of Sri Lanka following the 2004 Boxing  Day tsunami.

Outside of he was a very keen motorcyclist, member of the Advanced Motorists and an enthusiast for motor sports and gadgets.

He will be truly missed by all for his "short" stories, humour, banter and expert knowledge in all things nautical.

Funeral will be on 6th December at 1000hrs St John the Baptist Catholic  Church, Trowbridge.

Family flowers only.
