Story
Hi all
In June 2020 I will be competing in the Charity Strictly Come Dancing Ball (in aid of Teens Unite).
I can’t dance! I have never danced! So of all the pursuits I have carried out for charity, this is the one that actually worries me the most, as I am more than likely to embarrass myself!
The event itself is demanding, you can’t just turn up and dance. It is a big commitment - from February to the ball in June I will be taking professional dance lessons to perform with my (unlucky professional) partner in front of 500 supporting guests to help raise money for this amazing charity. Of course I would love to have you there to watch (and laugh at me) too.
Please note that all lessons and associated costs will be personally covered by me – all monies raised will go straight to the charity for the young people fighting cancer..
I have committed to raise some serious money – many of you have been so generous in the past but hopefully the challenge and cause are enough for you to support again. I am entering to win however I think there is more chance of me breaking a leg trying an extravagant lift – so either way it will be a fun spectacle.
Please do support me and I promise that every fundraising milestone I shall send an equally embarrassing video for you to each enjoy as part of my training!
Please also let me know if you would like to attend on the night and I can send through the details.

Teens Unite is the only charity in the UK to provide on-going support to 13-24 year olds fighting cancer from diagnosis through to post-remission. Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK and Teens Unite brings them together through workshops and activities so they can spend valuable time with others their age in a similar situation to themselves. The charity helps to rebuild the confidence and self-esteem of those it supports and prevents feelings of isolation during what can be a long and lonely battle.
