St Barnabas is a local charity that touches the lives of many across Lincolnshire and offers everyone in our community the chance to receive the very best care available at what is often the most difficult time in their lives.

The reality is none of us know when we may need the care and
support our Hospice offers, and both of our families have been touched by
Hospice care in recent times; receiving genuine and amazing care.

Becca saw this with her dad,(Mike) Caroline her mum (Sylvia) , two of the
closest and most loved people in our lives, living each and every day with a
terminal illness but never complaining, always a smile on their faces, doing
their best to live their lives to the full and NEVER giving up. The support and
care from their local Hospice along their journeys made a real difference to Sylvia & Mike and our families.

This year sees St Barnabas celebrate  it's 35 Birthday;  so join us and follow the journey of `2 Crazy Old Birds & A Challenge or 2’..  who along with the help of family and friends plan to do 35 challenges and raise £3500 in support of our local Hospice!!!

Starting this weekend.. with a gentle lead in??? Caroline and her son Harry will be running the Lincoln 10k, then we switch from running to bikes in preparation for the Castle 2 Coast to Castle Cycle Ride, which will see Becca, Caroline and her hubby Chris cycle  just a mere 100 miles in one day with a few hills thrown in for good measure!

Sticking with the biking scene September will see  Becca & Caroline `gear up’ for the London to Paris Cycle Ride over 300 miles in just 4 days – told you we are `2 Crazy old Birds’!!!

Other things we’ve got lined up … 35 Random Acts of Kindness, walking 35 miles in a week, 35 Car washes (that’s Paul, Becca’s hubby time to `shine’!!), St B Colour Dash… and there will be more!

Now we are under no illusion what a commitment and just how difficult it will be taking on our `35 for 35’, whilst working and having our own families. We know some of the challenges are going to be extremely gruelling and painful…but for those living with a terminal illness they face such immense challenges each and every day.

That is why however hard; we will do it showing the same courage and determination Mike & Sylvia did, knowing they will be immensely proud of  whatever we achieve and helping to ensure  St Barnabas can continue to care for the people of Lincolnshire for the next 35 years!

Every penny really will make a difference and will be very much appreciated!
