My name is Tom Dye and I am 11 years old. I have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy a rare degenerative muscle wasting condition.. I have been unable to walk since I was eight years old and am permanently wheel chair bound.  I am unable to participate in normal physical activities other children are capable of.  My movement is severely restricted and this condition will only get worse as I get older.

I currently am provided with a standard NHS electric wheel chair for everyday use.  I am fully dependent upon my wheel chair.

I have an assistance dog called Harvey who needs a lot of exercise.  To enable me to be more of  a part of Harvey's daily exercise and to allow me to participate in outdoor activities with my friends and family I am hoping to raise enough money to purchase an Off Road Wheelchair.  This chair would give me an added dimension to my life and give me more freedom.  The wheel chair is a special one made by Molten Rock and is a Boma 7.

My family & friends are trying to raise £12,000.00 to be able to buy me the special Boma 7 to give  me some of the freedom & independence for a better quality of life. I would love it if you could support us & help me find this independence.
