Story
I will be running the London Marathon 2021 on 3rd October for the British Lung Foundation after my cancelled marathon in 2020. I am running in memory of my Grandparents, Pat and Ernie, who both passed away from lung conditions. I have always dreamed of running the London Marathon since watching it on the TV every year from when I was little. To be able to finally get a place to run and for a charity so close to me, makes it even more special.
I am not a runner by any means, but I will train as hard as I can so that I can cross that finish line after 26.2 miles, even if I have to crawl! Hopefully my corona lungs have recovered enough for me to run this one after walking the virtual! Thank you so much for any donations made, however big or small.
1 in 5 people in the UK has a lung condition. That means 10,000 new diagnoses per week. I'm running the London Marathon for the British Lung Foundation, the only UK charity looking after the nation's lungs. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world without lung disease. Just £8 allows one of the BLF's nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering support to someone in need. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
Thank you so much
