I have been meaning to participate in the BHF London to Brighton Bike Race for a few years now.  As my family is full of people with heart problems it actually makes a lot of sense to support the British Heart Foundation and use my passion for cycling to do so.  The money that you are donating can help in many ways from gathering newest information and research to educating people how to live more healthily and supporting patients as well as their families.
