When I was younger I was a keen runner and when the opportunity came up to complete a marathon I thought I would give it ago.  I have to say that the marathon taking place in New York was a very nice added bonus!!!  I have never run a marathon before so understand that I have a big task ahead of me.  I started my training a couple of months ago and am now happily running 10 plus miles 3 times a week so with 2 months to go I am feeling optimistic about completing the marathon! Those of you who know me well are aware, that I am very competitive and although I am training on my own I have started to compete against myself, trying to beat my best times and distances.  I hope you will give generously all donations will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital I am aiming to raise £1500 and would love to exceed this target, please don't let me have these blisters for no reason!!!
