Fundraising for British Heart Foundation
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page...
I am making my mark in the fight for every heartbeat by cycling in the 'Big Heart Bike Ride' to raise vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
I work at Lynwood Vets in Wimborne and will be cycling 360km through rural Tanzania, over 5days from the 18th June this year in a bid to raise as much as I can to fund essential research into heart disease.
I have decided to take part in the event because 12 years ago at the age of 49, my dad suddenly died of a Heart Attack, with no warning. It was a massive shock to everyone who knew dad and it took a while to come to terms with him no longer being around. I have completed many fundraising events, but feel I need a bigger challenge and this is the perfect opportunity to do something I love whilst raising the funds for this important charity that is close to my heart & I know dad will be with me along the way to complete the challenge of a lifetime!!
