Story

Claire Culbert was a close family relative who was diagnosed with skin cancer in 2002. Claire was absolutely beautiful, intelligent, a fitness fanatic and a loving mum of two. She bravely battled with the illness but sadly passed away in December last year. Claire was just 38 when she died.

Team Claire Culbert will be taking part in a Run or Dye event on the 20.9.2014 at Aintree racecourse. At the event we will be running/walking/dancing through a 5k course , were we will get showered in dye at every kilometer...turning us into a technicolor canvas of fun!  (see video below its the icon with ...)

Myself (Clare Cummins) Michelle Drewry, Leona Vaughn, Lesley Neary, Christine Meakin, Natalie VillegasLeighanne Richards, Louise Hanlon, Catherine Kearney, Lucy Braithwaite, Laura Atherton and Laura Emmerson will be running to celebrate Claire's life and to raise awareness/funds for Melanoma UK. Melanoma UK support patients and families affected by melanoma (skin cancer) and funds raised help to provide that support whilst continuing to find a cure.

About the charity

Melanoma UK was set up in 2007 in memory of Jon Herron. We support patients and families affected by melanoma (skin cancer) and funds raised help to provide that support. We are funding much needed melanoma nurses along with help in vital research. Melanoma is a cruel disease, still without a cure.
