Story
As you may or may not know I have worked at Leoni Temco for 15 years. I decided (no doubt in one of those drunken moments - seemed a great idea at the time!) to take up the challenge of running the Berlin Marathon (yes a whole 26 miles and a little bit more!). This is a very personal challenge, combined with raising money for The Leukaemia and Intensive Chemotherapy Fund (LINC) in memory of Eileen Reynolds.
Friends of mine, Clare Reynolds and Tina Smith, have just recently lost their mother Eileen Reynolds, aged 67, to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Eileen was only recently diagnosed back in April and sadly this very cruel illness took her from Clare and her sister Tina in only 11 weeks. On diagnosis, Eileen spent 3 weeks in Cheltenham (Rendcomb Side rooms), during which she received the most amazing treatment from all staff in particular her consultant Dr Johny. Later she visited Edward Jenner Clinic for further treatment and again, this was of the highest level. Clare and Tina will be eternally grateful to everyone involved in the care of their mother and for trying to make this very sad time as bearable as possible. This disease, having affected their lives so closely, will remain a focus for us all and it is our aim to give something back in memory of Eileen.
For your support and any donation (we appreciate these are hard times), we would be most grateful.
Many thanks!
Dave, Clare and Tina.
