We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

As a family alzheimers has impacted us greatly, and back in 2014 we sadly lost our dad/grandad to this awful disease. Many other families will have been through the same or will be experiencing this pain right now, and any donation; big or small will go towards supporting them, and most importantly of all the individual who is suffering with dementia.

We have a couple of fundraising opportunities -

Our wedding in September where we hope to raise money by selling bespoke candlestick holders which will be part of our table decorations. Ultimately, they will be available for family and friends to purchase and take home as keepsakes too.

In October 2021 we are (Covid permitting) heading on a diverse and demanding three day trek across the Sahara Desert. We're expecting burning heat, some achy muscles, an array of blisters, some potentially interesting bug bites, and a few rough sandstorms to come our way. (It is slightly worrying that our kit list states that we should bring ski goggles for said sandstorms)...!

Thank you in advance for your donation, it means so much to us.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
