* UPDATE* I have visited a physio and have got a stress fracture in my shin. This can take a while to heel and I will have to delay the run. Currently I can not run on it. I will keep people updated when I start training again!!

I have been encouraged to take up a challenge for charity by my work Cremarc. I have never done a run and have completely started from the beginning. I turned to the Couch to 5k as I had heard great things about it. I shall be doing a park run on the 14th September.

When I knew I was taking up this challenge I knew I wanted to do it in memory of my dad. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer at the age of 50 in 2016. 95% of people with pancreatic cancer will die unfortunately because it’s often caught too late and you can have very minimal symptoms to start with. I want to raise money for this great charity so they can try to improve the outlook on this terrible cancer.
