Two and a half years ago my wife and I lost our first born son Harris Garden. Excitedly, with my wife in early labour, we left for the hospital expecting to take home our perfect little boy. Only to discover that he had already passed away. We were devasted.

We have both come through this and now strongly believe that everything happens for a reason, life is tough, resilience is key and by focusing on the future and believing change is possible you can get through anything.   

I now run most days and this is my time when I disconnect from the rest of the world and think only about Harris. So I thought a marathon (something I never thought I would be able to complete after entering 3 and never getting over a start line!) would be a fitting way to remember him.  

I am looking to raise awareness for still births and support SANDS Lothian which helped us and so many other lost families through the worst days or their lives.  Any support you can give would be greatly appreciated.
