Story

Dave Old is taking on the challenge to raise money for George and the Giant Pledge - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/GeorgeandtheGiantPledge.

Vicki and James Woodall, from Redhill, faced every parents’ nightmare when their four-year-old, George was diagnosed with cancer just a few months ago. In order to make something positive come out of this terrible ordeal George's they are attempting to raise £1m in order to help The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity help other children in the same position as George.

Dave, who has two young sons himself wants to support this charity and help the Woodall's reach their target. 'As a parent it's your worst nightmare to hear the kind of news the Woodall's did. Their reaction to this, to raise money for such a good cause that will dramatically improve the lives of children and their families in similar positions, is, quite frankly, amazing. The whole of Reigate are behind them and the Holmesdale Building Society is too!'

You can follow their story here - https://www.facebook.com/georgeandthegiantpledge/

Dave, the head of lending at the Holmesdale Building Society in Reigate, will be taking part in Nightrider London 2017, a 50km ride through the streets of London on Saturday 10th June - https://www.nightrider.org.uk/london
