Heart Link have assisted our Nicola Welbourn on more than one occasion by providing parent accommodation. Nicola's Son Benjamin was diagnosed with a heart defect at 12 weeks old which resulted in him having open heart surgery. He was operated on at Glenfield Hospital at just 15 weeks old. During Benjamin's stay in intensive care and on Ward 30 Heart Link provided home from home accommodation just off the ward which meant that Nicola could be close by at all times. Nicola says "the facility provided by Heart Link is invaluable. It enabled me to be with my Son 24/7 at a time when he needed me most which I will forever be thankful for. By running the Lincoln 10k with my work colleagues and raising money for Heart Link it has given me the opportunity to show my gratitude and give something back to them"
