Story

As promised this years charity event would be bigger and better than the previous 2.

Tom spending lots of time in wales across the hills and mountains it seemed only right that we make this challenge a mountain to climb, however last time we aimed to double the distance Tom walked and with this being bigger it was only fitting to do a triple challenge!!!

This May we will be Summiting the 3 highest mountains in the UK, all in a single weekend. Ben Nevis in bonnie Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Mount Snowdon in Wales, all Scaling a whopping 10,000ft accumulatively , covering a huge 25 mile hike and over 1000 miles by road.

Our challenge will begin on Friday 1st may 2020 when the 3 amigos head north-west for the Snow frosted mountains of wales where we shall settle for the night ready for our first ascent.

Saturday morning Approx. 6am we shall start our morning with a quick birthday beer to celebrate Simons 32nd Birthday before beginning our climb to the summit with the aim of completing the 1st of 3 peaks by 12pm(midday), allowing us time to stop for some well needed R and R along the way. Snowdon is 3,560 feet tall and covers 10 miles of our hiking journey, depending on route, weather etc.

Our journey will then commence by road to the Highest mountain in England, Scafell Pike. We hope to arrive here Approx. 5pm and want to be summiting the peak at about 8pm allowing us to reach the bottom for 10pm ready to travel straight to Scotland. Scafell pike is the lowest of the 3 peaks , standing at 3,210 feet tall. This mountain will cover Approx. 6 miles of the Hike.

After catching a few hours sleep at the foot of Ben Nevis, we aim to start our climb Approx. 8am allowing us to summit around Midday. We will then stop for a spot of lunch and to take in the breath taking views before we make our way back down to complete our journey. Ben Nevis is the Highest of the 3 peaks at a HUGE 4,413 feet tall. Covering the final 9 miles of our hike.

This challenge as previously mentioned will be our hardest by far and for that reason alone we want to smash last years total of £845. Last year we attempted a gruelling 100 mile walk along the coast all without any training and got so close but unfortunately did not complete it due to injury. This year we don’t want anything to stop us, so we will be in hard training from now and will upload videos/photos of our training journey along the way.

We will be recording our journey on go pros from start to finish and endeavour to have a highlights reel edited for your viewing pleasure by the end of the week of completion. Not only that we will be giving you all regular updates via Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

Thank you so much for taking your time to read about our adventures for charity and a massive thank you for all your kind donations and support so far!!! Please Please Please share our journey with all of your friends and family and lets smash our target and smash cancer together!!!!
