I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon for South London Refugee Association. They provide much needed services and support to asylum seekers, refugees and at-risk migrants in South London. The government’s “hostile environment” policy, the rise of the far right, and the demonisation of refugees in the media have put huge numbers of people at risk of abuse and deportation.
