Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 12th October I'll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon. I originally intended this as a personal challenge, a goal to get me back into running again, but last week I read the final blog of a lady I used to work with.

Her words stopped me in my tracks, made me cry and urged us all to "please, please, enjoy life.  Take it by both hands, grab it, shake it and believe in every second of it".

Charley was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in 2012 and sadly passed away on September 16th this year. She was only 36, and leaves a husband, two young children and countless friends and family members.

Her words gave me the inspiration to stop moaning and get out there and run, and to try and enjoy every step. If you could support me by making my half marathon journey mean so much more than just getting me round 13.1 miles,  by helping me to raise some money for Bowel Cancer UK, I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much xxx
