Hello, for those who dont know me personally my name is Danielle John

I am the area representative for a charity called CRY, this is a charity that helps families of young people (under 35), who have been diagnosed or have passed away with Sudden Death Syndromes.

I myself have a Sudden Death Syndrome called Long QT Syndrome and it was CRY that helped me and my family after my dad passed away in 1994. CRY helped us with bereavement as well as help to getting me and my sister tested for any sudden death syndromes.

Without the help of CRY we would have never known about the underlying silent killer and quite possibly not be around today.

However, today my sister and I are both doing well after having defibrillators fitted and are living our lives very well. As I said earlier I am now the area representative and am helping everyway to say thank you and give something back to a well deserving charity.

On Friday 20th May im asking anyone and everyone to wear either, something red or something with a heart/hearts on it for £1.

Along with this I’m being sponsored to wear one of CRYs giant red hearts all day – there are pictures of these on the CRY website!

Whilst wearing the heart I will be visiting as many of the peple and places local to me as possible who are taking part, to show that I too am being a part of this as well.

If you would like to be apart of this you can too by either wearing red or something with hearts on or by sponsoring me to wear the giant heart!

Not only will raising money be a brilliant thing for the charity it also helps people become aware of sudden death.
