On the 15th December for one night, 7pm to 7am with only a sleeping bag to see me through the night, I’m joining over 200 other Scottish business people taking part in Social Bite’s CEO Sleep out in Edinburgh’s Charlotte Square.

I am raising money to help break the cycle of homelessness in Scotland for good by supporting Social Bite’s plan to build a village for 20 homeless people to live for 12 months. Not only will this put a roof over their heads but they will also be paired with full support to help them get back on their feet and find employment opportunities.

At Christmas time, where we are surrounded by family and friends, never more do we forget how lucky we are. However it is also an incredibly lonely and harsh time for our homeless people. This event will be the first time that I will experience for one night what the homeless community go through every day.

With your help we can take this campaign beyond giving out food and raise enough to turn Social Bite’s initiative into a national movement.
