I lost both my parents to cancer, and several friends and colleagues have either directly or indirectly suffered as a result of cancer. As you can imagine, I am very motivated to help give others a fighting chance. 

Next January, I'm off to climb Kilimanjaro. Despite what you might have read or heard, it's not an easy challenge but that is the point. I may not get to the top, but that is not stopping me going. And it's the same with your donations. Your £10 won't beat cancer, but together with her £10 and his £10 and their £20, it will.   

There have been some amazing breakthroughs recently and that's down to our support for research. When you see results, it makes the dontating all the more worthwhile. My mum had an extra 6 months of quality life thanks to cancer research. So thank you from me to anyone who has donated any amount to a cancer charity. You helped my mum and other mums and dads and loved ones.
