In memory of David Hatcher
The Cure CJD campaign has been set up by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers & doctors at the MRC Prion Unit at UCL and NHS National Prion Clinic at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity.

Story

Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a fatal brain condition with around 120 new cases in the UK every year (just 1 person per million worldwide).  It occurs sporadically in the brain and the cause is unknown.  The average life expectancy from onset of symptoms is just 4-6 months.  As we as a family have experienced, it is a cruel and totally debilitating disease and there is currently no cure, but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment.

This is a cause we'd like any donations to support.
