We provide social palliative support to the families of seriously-ill children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is who we are raising money for..

Sebastian’s Action Trust is a charity here for the families of seriously-ill children, always - from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond. Sebastian’s Action Trust has created the UK's only purpose-built facility that offers respite breaks to very sick children and their families, giving them the opportunity for a respite break with extended family and loved ones, in a purpose-built facility. The house, called The Bluebells, sits in the pretty Hampshire village of North Waltham, and is the first of its kind. In addition, the Trust is also here to provide ongoing practical and emotional support, not only to children battling with life-limiting or life-threating illnesses, but also to their families. we understand that every family’s situation is unique and we look to meet their individual needs by giving meaningful assistance at critical times.

Why?

Last year our friends Stuart and Rachel, lost their lovely little boy, Beni. Beni and his family were supported by the Action Trust and they continue to support the amazing work they do. Portway Junior School in Andover, where Rachel and I work, has supported the Sebastian's Action Trust this year raising money in memory of Beni. As their year of fund raising comes to a close my team and I wanted to show our support with this crazy idea.

What are we doing?

We are cycling the Dunwich Dynamo or Dun Run. It is a 120mile ride through the night from Hackney in London to Dunwich on the Suffolk Coast.

When?

We start out on Saturday 20th July at 8pm and collapse on the beach in Dunwich at around 8am the following morning.

Who?

Me and Johnathan, Kevin Ingram and his son Josh, Fred (my brother) and my nephew Henry, Freds mate Graham, Henry's mate and my next door neighbour and friend Rob Cable
