Story
I will be completing two cycle rides in aid of ‘Mending broken hearts‘ (BHF) one ride 100 miles will be on Sat 2nd July 2011 the other a 100 miles will be on Sat 23rd July 2011.
Many of us have a connection to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) for some reason or another. Mine is linked to my Dad. He is now well, after suffering Atrial Fibrillation - an irregular and often rapid heart rhythm. The irregular rhythm, or arrhythmia, results from abnormal electrical impulses in the heart. The irregularity can be continuous or can come and go. Along with medication. the operations he endured ‘catheter ablation’ appeared to have cured this problem, without it, he may have suffered a heart attack or stroke. My parents now attend seminars in support of the BHF and the BHF's latest research ‘Mending broken hearts’ involves unlocking the secrets of the zebrafish to repair our damaged heart muscle. The zebrafish is amazing. It can heal its own heart. Read more…

At the moment, there's no cure for a broken heart. Once your heart muscle is damaged by a heart attack, it can never fully recover. But there is hope and I need your support in raising money to the research of this amazing development.
Many thanks
