Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Time for me to do something a lil crazy but awesome again for a very good cause. So wish me luck & give a little to help someone alot - thanks all :-)
17th Oct 2014 - This time (with marmalade sandwiches) I'll be trekking The Inca Trail to Machu Pichu in Peru.
The trek is entirely self funded (every penny you donate goes to the charity) & covers approx 26 miles of very varied terrain - mountain scenery, lush cloud-forest, subtropical jungle & of course Inca paving stones. Whilst this may all sound lovely the trek is still challenging, reaching altitudes of 4200m, altitude sickness may prove fun (not!) along with some very narrow trails with rather steep drops! eeek!
Sadly, all of us know someone who's life has been touched by Cancer.................Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal illnesses. In 2012-13 they cared for 38,777 people. They are best known for their network of approx 2,000 nurses who work in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK, providing practical care & support. During 2012-13, their nurses provided more than 1.3 million hours of nursing to 30,080 patients, along with support for their families.
All Marie Curie services are provided free to patients thanks to the generous support of the public
