Working as a Massage and Beauty Therapist my clients tell me about their experiences with someone they know who has or has had Cancer. Their stories can be very sad or happy depending on the individuals. When you are training to become a Therapist, you are taught the techniques, learn the anatomy and physiology, the hygiene, the etiquette , sit the exam and then go out into the big wide world to put it all into practise. What you are not taught or made aware of, are all the true stories that you are going to hear from your clients when they feel safe and relaxed with you. They open up and tell you their experiences of Cancer. How it changes their lives one way or another, how it involves many people along the way, how it takes people away, brings people together, introduces you to new people, how it makes you question yourself, your well being, health and outlook on life. You put things into perspective; life is too short to worry about the things you cannot change, the silly things that stress you, when you look at the bigger picture of life and what it has to offer. Life is for living, smiling, laughing and having fun and for giving to those whom are less fortunate.

This challenge is for all those clients who have felt safe with me being able to share their experiences and to all those other people that I have not met but will be in my thoughts as I ride the ride!
