Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On September 12th of this year I will set out on bike with two friends in the hope of cycling from London to Paris in four days. I'm doing this for my husband, Paul who died last year. Paul was an incredibly driven and successful chef who lived for his work and was an inspiring and committed mentor to the many younger chefs who came under his tuition. In memory of Paul I hope to raise funds for the charity Hospitality Action. Sadly this is a charity that few people know about despite the fact that it was established in 1837 and offers support and assistance to all who work, or who have worked within  hospitality in the UK and who find themselves in crisis.

            When eating out or perhaps staying in a lovely hotel we do not give much thought to those behind the scenes who provide us with comfort and luxury, however they often work long hours and in stressful conditions foregoing on the normal family life and interests the rest of us take for granted.  So I am using one of my interests to highlight the good work of Hospitality Action and hopefully raise some much needed funds for this vital charity.
