My son David (a very fun loving young man) died in May 2000 after contracting Pneumococcal Meningitis at just 18 years of age.

This year (2010) I along with family and friends are organising a series of events to raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation in Davids memory.

Our target is to raise £10000 (Ten Thousand Pounds)

The events will culminate in a Variety Concert to be held in the CISWO Club in Glenrothes on Sunday 16th May 2010 and at this concert the winners of a Prize Draw will also be announced.

The concert will be compared by Bert Allen and supported with Music and Song.

We now have comfirmation that Bert will be supported by Cathy Struthers,Jim McNulty and Gordon Wilson.

The evening will be rounded off with a Karaoche/Disco.

The prizes for the Draw are : £500 Thomas Cook Vouchers,Hair Makeover at 'Christine Smith Hairdressing',Two Family tickets to Knockhill Racing Circuit,12 Year Old Malt Whisky.

Tickets for the Concert can be purchased at a cost of £5.00 from the CISWO Club as can the Prize Draw tickets at a cost of £1.00

Some of the events already completed have been : Car boot sale/Guess the Weight of the Cake/Burns Supper.

 and in addition the proceeds of the sale of a puppy - named 'Didis Memory' has been donated to the fund.

The concert was a great success with 220 people enjoying a full afternoon and evenings entertainment.

A total of £1025 was raised on the day from entry fees, raffle,stand-up bingo.
