We fund research and raise awareness of MND to help anyone touched by MND.

Story

26 young men from across the land were fortunate to represent Scottish Schools rugby  and tour New Zealand in 1988.

Our star and starting No.8 was the tall guy always grinning in the back row – Doddie Weir.

It was an epic 5 week adventure across the North and South islands (without phones!), we received fantastic hospitality c/o our generous hosts (we were billeted out old school style with the opposition), spend a few nights in a Maori marae, went white-water rafting, met former All Blacks, tackle steel-rimmed tyres in the driving rain, make friendships for life and ultimately won 5 matches out of 8 - a more than decent return considering the combative Test Match at Eden Park!

In honour of Doddie and his inspirational fight against MND, his teamates are coming together on 16th and 17th March to walk / cycle 88km through the Scottish Borders and onto Murrayfield  for the Italian match.

35 years is a long time and for many, this will be a lot harder than the brutal pre-tour sessions on the back pitches at Murrayfield!

We are, however, determined to succeed and raise as much money as we can for Doddie’s Foundation.  To this end, we would really appreciate your support – however big or small – to help find a cure for this cruel and brutal disease.
