Story

In between Christmas and New Year there is a team of us cycling in memory of Dave Boyce and Dan Clack, two fallen soldiers killed on duty in Afghanistan this year.

A team comprising of university friends and family will be cycling in relay from Dan’s village in London, through Bath and Exeter before finishing in the Mariners Pub in Rock, Cornwall.

Choosing to cycle just shy of 300miles in three days from the 28-30 of December with only seven hours of light, painfully cold temperatures and against the prevailing winds, may not seem the most sensible idea… However, it’s a challenge that we are ready to embrace with fancy dress, a collection bucket and a big smile.

We are raising money towards The Army Benevolent Fund and The Rifles Swift and Bold Wristband appeal. As the fundraising page is focused to the Army Benevolent Fund and doesn’t allow us to split our donations we shall donate any hard cash straight to Swift and Bold!

These two charity’s vitally important in supporting the bereaved families and injured troops returning, so please give what you can to show your support and remember these true heroes.
