Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and supporting our chosen charity, Maggie's Centre, Oxford.

Maggie's Centre Oxford is a short walk from Oxford Brookes University and has been of great support to OBU staff when required. It is an amazing facility run by amazing people right on our door step.

When the UK went into Lockdown back in March a group of over 140 Oxford Brookes University staff, family and pets joined a challenge to walk 5000 miles in 2 weeks. We did this and raised money for charity. We realized how good it was for our health and wellbeing and how connected we were despite all working from home in different parts of Oxfordshire.

So as we entered lockdown a 2nd time we have challenged ourselves to 3 weekend challenges starting 14/15 Nov, 21/22 Nov and 28/29 Nov. 

This time is very different, we are not all working from home, the weather is not so kind and there are not so many daylight hours. Our intention is to accumulate as many miles as possible and personally 
achieve something we have not before on the last weekend. As well as this we encourage each other to a daily lunchtime walk. 

Weekend 1 is to walk, cycle or run 10k, 20k or 30k over the 2 days. 

Please be as generous as you can afford. We realize that it is a difficult time for some. If you can afford to pledge to sponsor us per mile, that would be amazing. Equally if you can donate a small amount, that is also amazing.
