Story

Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page...

So, as a lot of you will know, I have been awarded a ballot place in the 2019 London Marathon (Thanks Jess Byrne for entering me in the ballot in the first place!).

As a lot of you will also know, Grace, our little Minky, has had a short stay recently in the children's ward at Northampton General Hospital. She also had surgery there earlier this year after trapping her finger in a door. On both occasions, the treatment she received was astounding. The care and dedication shown by everyone at the hospital made the whole experience so easy for Grace, and for Jess and me.

During our recent stay, one of the most amazing places was the activity centre. A fully stocked and equipped play room, and staffed by the fantastic Play Team. ( @PlayTeamNGH ). The difference this room, and these people made to the children and parents in the ward was amazing. While spending time in there with Grace, I thought what a difference £1000 would make to this room. So I am running the London Marathon to raise some funds for this brilliant facility. I do hope that you will support it. I know it is a very local charity, but the difference they made to Grace's recent stay in hospital was priceless to us.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Now, where did I leave my trainers......
