It's been a life long dream to run the London Marathon, from my many years of being on duty with St John Ambulance to loading kit bags at 5am with the Venture Scouts to watching friends complete the course in record time; I've always been in awe of those that have risen to the challenge, now it's my turn!

But most of all it gives me the opportunity to raise some vital funds for a charity very close to my heart. Vasculitis UK help raise awareness in early diagnosis and research which is vital in saving lives and giving hope to those affected.  For my mum, and thousands affected by vasculitis, life can be a constant battle and I'm so proud of my mum for the amazing strength she has shown every day. To everyone affected by vasculitis, I salute you.
