Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running for Tiny Lives, they are a local charity that helps to care for premature and sick newborn babies and their families in the Special Care Baby unit at the Royal Victoria Infirmary hospital in Newcastle. This charity is close to my heart and I would like to give them something back for the excellent work they do.
I have ran the Great North Run in 2014 and managed to complete in 2 hours and 27 minutes! I am doing this run again (the day after my birthday) alongside my colleague and friend, Sophie Smith, and I'm positive we will beat this time together! I can't wait to be running over the Tyne Bridge whilst the Red Arrows fly over us - what a feeling!!
I believe the Great North Run is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your own good health, challenge yourself and raise money for some great charities. In 2013, £28 million was raised from the Great North Run alone. If running 13.1 miles means somewhere along the line you make a positive impact on someone elses life then I am up for that!
I would like to thank you in advance, for your generosity. I would also like everyone to suggest a song that will go on my playlist on the day which will inspire/ motivate/ keep me distracted from the task of running 13.1 miles!
Wish me luck!
