Dave “Taffy” Jones' family are organising a charity football match to be played in his memory to raise money for the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. In 2014, Dave suffered an Aortic Aneurism and without the fantastic skills and experience of the LHCH surgeons and staff, he would not have survived. Furthermore and most recently, LHCH cared for Dave so wonderfully and passionately during the last few weeks of his life. This is our way of saying thank you as a family to everyone who played their part in the care for Dave. 

As a family , we have all agreed that a football match in Penyffordd, will be the most fitting tribute to Dave and also a great way to pull together on the community spirit that Dave was extremely humbled to be a part of. 

We would all be extremely grateful if you could become a part of this day. Either as a spectator , volunteer to help out on the day , or to play in the Jones 11 vs Griffo 11 football match .There will be light refreshments with an auction and raffle hosted by the Red Lion post match. 

We would like to thank Penyffordd FC who are providing the pitch and equipment and of course the Red Lion who are welcoming every one back after the match.
