Myself and a colleague, Katie, have decided to participate in the ‘Miles for mums and baby challenge’ organised through App. We have decided to walk 161 miles over a 12 week period to raise money for Action on Postpartum Psychosis (APP). This is a very special charity for us as they help and support not only our Mother and baby unit but women across the country who experience Postpartum psychosis after having a baby

I decided on 161 miles to try and represent the 161 women admitted to our ward since I started working in Perinatal services. We are going to aim to achieve this ASAP but have set ourselves a 12 week target as we often work different shifts to each other. We are also going to be accompanied by some of our other lovely colleagues on some of our longer walks

We really hope we can do APP and our mother and baby unit proud and raise as much money as possible for a fantastic cause. Any donations would be much appreciated
