I want to set myself a challenge for 2017 and raise money for this excellent hospice facility. Most of us know someone who has been affected by cancer and some of us are lucky enough to still have them with us due to timely treatment. My mum was one of those who was treated in time, but many others aren't and facilities like Strathcarron provide much needed care at an incredibly difficult time.

I'm not a fan of running although I see the benefits and it's handy because it's something you can do anywhere. Therefore, I've adapted the "Walk 1000 miles" challenge that my cousin posted on Facebook and I'll see how I go :)

I've figured out that using Strathcarron as a starting point, my 1,000 miles will take me to a restaurant in Le Petit Nice in the southwest of France (via the Eiffel Tower). I sincerely hope they do a nice steak 😉
