Story
After a health scare and a bereavement (and a few glasses of wine) we decided we would like to challenge ourselves and raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd who looked after Martin's mum in her last few days.
After signing up to the cycle challenge the realisation for myself and Fiona (I think Martin knew already) was that 400 km is a long way, especially in the heat of Vietnam and Cambodia. Serious training was needed!
So bikes and padded shorts were bought! Spinning classes were enrolled on! The Cheshire countryside has been regularly explored and thighs and bottoms have started to ache!
Any donation to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Chester will be greatly appreciated. We have personally paid for all of the costs of the challenge, hence any donations go straight to the hospice.
The hospice is only partly funded by the Government and for it to continue offering this extremely valued service to terminally ill patients and their families it needs funds from charity events and donations.
