‘Everyday for Dad’

The 28th Feb would have been my Dads 65th birthday. Since his passing to bowel cancer in 2007 regrettably I have never done any fundraising in his memory. 

From the 1st March, I will be running 1km per calendar date. 1st run 1km, 2nd run 2km, 3rd 3km, 4th 4km, all the way through to the 31st March. Totalling 496km in 31 days. All proceeds I raise will go to Bowel Cancer UK. 

Bowel Cancer UK are the UKs leading bowel cancer charity. Bowel Cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK. However due to the incredible work BCUK do, it is treatable and curable if diagnosed early. Dad passed away 8 months after being diagnosed back in 2007. The major advances in saving lives from bowel cancer in the past 20 years has all come through the research BCUK do. Through strategic investment in targeted research, they will deliver improvements in bowel cancer survival in our lifetime.
