Cancer, My Story.
I have entered myself in a Boxing Exhibition in Bath (Bath Pavillion) Ran by
UWCB, this takes place on the 17/12/16, I would love for you to come along and
support me. Or make a donation to Cancer Research.
My Mum had been diagnosed with terminal Cancer. given just 6 months to a year, 4 years ago, and although she had a fighting spirit and amazing courage, the disease seemed to finally win the battle and took her life in July 2014.
I was working in Sierra Leone when I got a phone call from my Ex, telling me I needed to come home as soon as possible, as The Doctors had predicted my Mother only had a couple of days to live. So My Boss allowed me to fly home all expenses paid, to spend the last days with her. We didn’t tell her I was coming back to make it a nice surprise. To this day I can still remember her face when she saw mine.
Water flowing out of her eyes, as she couldn’t believe it. Parading me around while in her wheel chair, to her friends in the Hospice like I was the World Cup. According to other family members, she seemed to have another lease of life. I was there for a whole week had passed and there didn’t seem to be any sign of any deterioration. My mother told me I should go back to Sierra Leone. So we had a family meeting and agreed that I should go back. Four days later My Mother was announced dead, while I was in Sierra Leone.
At the Funeral, I was overwhelmed with how many people turned up. She was very popular person. With a very caring nature. She is still very dearly missed by all that knew her to this day.
My Step Mother also is being treated for it too.
Family members (Brother in law & Mother of my children) have done great things for Cancer research. Like marathon Runs and bike rides. But I couldn’t think of anything I could do. One day I saw an advert my friend
Mike had liked on facebook (UWCB). So this is my chance to do something to help cure this horrific disease.
So please help by sponsoring me/Supporting me in this
exciting event
