Myself and Vic Owens are attempting to run 31 consecutive barefoot half marathons from the 1st to the 31st March 2022. I will be running in Wiltshire, in the Area of Natural Beauty, which is Fyfield Down, and the Devils Den, and Vic will be running in North Wales. 

We have chosen to do this, having started a barefoot running community called @barefootcrew5k, and having run a barefoot marathon in October 2021, upon completion there was a desire to see how hard we could push the barefoot running style, and so Vic proposed this attempt. 

I personally have been a barefoot runner for a year, and a minimalist runner for over 17 years at this point. Through the first Covid Lockdown here in the UK, my running ramped up, and the desire to push myself at 45, really took a hold. Having completed the marathon, the gloves came off, and if it wasn't a world record, an ultra was on the horizon; and still is. 

We have chosen young lives against cancer as we are both parents, and whilst cancer has not massively impacted my family and extended family thankfully, as an ex-smoker, it has always been a concern; and so supporting a charity such as YLAC just seemed a no brainer. Heres to hoping you'll be able to help me raise this sum!
