A very close friend of mine Steve ‘Sid’ Nattrass, died suddenly, aged 48 on 3rd Feb 2013 whilst on a business trip to the states. Sid was in our pool team at the Beech where we have played for 20 years. Sid was also our regular organiser of social events from going to watch the brewers away, to lads weekends in Europe.

During his wake we decided that we had to do something in his honour, which would raise some money for his families favourite charity. We decided on the Lichfield 10k on 8th September 2013. The group of us have various levels of fitness from couch potato's to triathlon specialists, though I myself have never ran a 10k race before; the training is now getting quite competitive between us!
