Giving Tuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Black Friday. The “Opening day of the giving season,” it’s a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for favourite causes. In the same way that retailers take part in Black Friday, the giving community comes together for Giving Tuesday.

Every light you purchase on Giving Tuesday will go towards ensuring that CMH has the best equipment and technology. Community dollars fund 100% of the equipment and technology in our hospital. Your support is critical to ensuring the best in class care is delivered close to home, when you need it most.
I have chosen Anne Lovett-Hutchinson, a dear friend from Ayr to honour this year. Anne was diagnosed with uterine cancer in the spring. Following surgery, she continued with treatments all
summer.
As I dealt with a similar scare many years ago, it brought back memories. Sharing my story with Anne brought huge comfort to her, and she hopes that someday she can reach out and bring hope to others.
